About Overisel Knife Co

I am proud to announce a second brand that I will be producing, the Overisel Knife Co.

This brand will be operated and sold under the Eddworks LLC, but with its own distinct mission; to produce excellent kitchen cutlery while leveraging available technology to provide a consistent and affordable product.

While an Eddworks knife (with the EJM stamp) is made start to finish by Eddie in his shop, the Overisel knives will make use of reputable shops to source operations to. This allows for significant economies of scale, while still maintaining high quality and control over specifications.

You’ll find all the important elements present - thin grind, convexed edge, ergonomic handle, rounded spine and choil, and high quality steel with a high quality heat treat.

The steel originated from Uddeholm, Sweden. It was cut, heat treated and ground in Washington. The handle wood is primarily Sonora Desert Ironwood from the Arizona/Mexico area. The handle machining and all assembly and final finish work is done in Michigan. The packaging comes from Wisconsin and Michigan, and the leather (when applicable) comes from Montana.

The name, Overisel, refers to a small township in West Michigan that is named after a province in the Netherlands. This township in Michigan is where the Eddworks shop is located, and of course where Overisel Knife Co is based.
